Invitation from Rev. Elder Darlene Garner

A MESSAGE TO PEOPLE OF COLOR
from MCC’s Rev. Elder Darlene Garner

EQUALITY SURVEY

Now is the time for People of Color to move Equality Forward!

The particular concerns of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender People of Color in the United States too often have been missing from the national LGBT political agenda. Sometimes our opinions and priorities have not seemed to matter.

Equality cannot move forward when People of Color are left behind.

I am writing today to all People of Color in MCC. I am inviting you to join me in bringing about change in the national political, social, and economic agendas. In partnership with Metropolitan Community Churches, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is conducting a survey to discover the concerns of LGBT People of Color in the U.S.

Who should complete the survey? People of Color know who we are! We are those who are the descendants of the indigenous peoples of what is now the United States and of Africans, Asians, Latinos/as, Pacific Islanders, and other non-European immigrant groups.

To take the survey now, click this link: http://www.hrc.org/issues/equalityforwardsurvey.asp.

Please participate in this survey and share it with other People of Color so that together we can move equality forward.

God bless!
